Finnmark 2016

In February 2016 I completed a 120 km foot crossing of the Finnmark Plateau as part of a four-man team. We were guided by polar veteran Mike Thornewill, starting in Alta in the West and finishing near Karasjok close to the Border of Finland.

The Sled Team

We were a four-man team (Ash Routen, Phil Sturgeon, Mike Thornewill and Andrew Bailey). Phil and I went on to complete a crossing of Lake Baikal, Siberia, in March 2018.
