I’m Ash Routen a British adventurer and writer with a PhD in Exercise Science. Passionate about the outdoors, and particularly the cold, my adventures have seen me travel to Arctic Norway twice in recent years. Notably, I’ve recently returned from my largest adventure to date – a 630 km walk across the world’s largest frozen lake.
I run the Adventure Corner, a copywriting and field update service for adventurers and the outdoor industry.
I’m a staff writer for world leading adventure news website Explorers Web. I’ve written for renowned outdoor publications like Outside and Rock and Ice Magazine. I’m a Member of The Society for Editors and Proofreaders, and the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild.
I’ve appeared on local and national TV (BBC 1, ITV Central), and featured on radio, and in local and international newspapers.
