Ash is a freelance adventure journalist specialising in global expeditions, including polar travel, long-distance trekking, and kayaking adventures. He is the founder and editor of At the Edge of the Map, and also he provides expert commentary across radio, television, podcasts, and live events. Ash is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and The Explorers Club. Alongside his journalism, he is a Research Fellow in Public Health at the University of Leicester, UK.
